Privacy policy
Effective date: 13 October 2026 · Applies to WriteSimply for iPad, version 1.0 and later
In short: WriteSimply does not collect, store, share or sell any personal data. Your documents and handwriting stay on your iPad. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple.
WriteSimply is published by RIBTechnologies (“we”, “us”), based in Hong Kong. You can contact us about privacy at ribtechnologies2026@outlook.com.
None. WriteSimply has no servers of its own and does not send any information to us or to anyone else. We do not use analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or other third-party software development kits (SDKs).
To work, WriteSimply stores the following only on your device, inside the app’s private storage:
We cannot see or access this information. It is removed when you delete a document in the app or delete WriteSimply from your iPad. Like other app data, it may be included in your iPad’s iCloud or computer backup, which is handled by Apple under your own backup settings and Apple’s privacy policy.
WriteSimply is a paid app with no in-app purchases. The purchase is made and processed entirely by Apple on the App Store, under Apple’s privacy policy. The app itself makes no network connections. We do not receive your name, Apple Account, payment details or purchase history. Apple may give us anonymous, aggregated sales reports that do not identify you.
When you export, share, save or print a document, you choose where it goes (for example, the Files app, iCloud Drive, Mail, AirDrop or a printer). Those services are provided by Apple or by the app you choose and are covered by their own privacy policies. WriteSimply does not receive a copy.
WriteSimply does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or other personal information. Files are opened only when you choose them in the system file picker or share them to the app.
WriteSimply does not track you across apps or websites, show advertising or use advertising identifiers.
WriteSimply does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
If you email us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as screenshots or files. We use this only to reply and help you, keep it only as long as needed for that purpose, and do not sell or share it. You may ask us to access, correct or delete it at any time, in line with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong and other laws that apply to you.
This website is hosted by Squarespace, which may use cookies and collect basic visitor analytics. See the RIBTechnologies privacy statement and Squarespace’s privacy policy. This does not apply to the WriteSimply app.
If a future version of WriteSimply changes how data is handled, we will update this page and the effective date before that version is released.
