A small, deliberate set of features for writing on PDFs. Here’s each one in detail.

Gestures
Only Apple Pencil writes, so your hand can rest on the screen without leaving marks. Fingers scroll, zoom and turn pages.
Templates
Add template pages to any document, after the current page or at the end. When you export or print, you choose whether the ruling is included.

Fold panels
WriteSimply can detect a folded layout, or you can pick one yourself. Each panel fills the screen, and arrows take you to the previous or next panel. Your writing stays in the right place on the full sheet. Switch back to normal reading at any time.

Night paper
Dark modes that invert a document turn your highlights and red ink into the wrong colours. Night paper lowers the brightness of the page to a warm, light tone and darkens everything around it. It only affects the screen; exports and prints are always on white paper. Choose day paper, night paper, or follow your iPad’s appearance.
Library
Open PDFs from Files, or share them from Mail and other apps. WriteSimply works on its own copy.
Create folders, nest them, and press and hold to rename, move or duplicate.
Reopen a document to return to the last page or panel you worked on. Fit fits the page you are on.
Saving and export
Ink saves in the background as you write and stays editable.
Original text and graphics stay sharp; handwriting is added at 288 dpi.
Add pages anywhere, delete pages, and undo a deletion if you change your mind.
